The jubilee 5th edition of the International Bruno Schulz Festival will take place from 6 to 12 September 2012 in Drohobycz, Ukraine.
The festival will be composed of two parts: the first, from 6 to 9 September, will feature concerts, exhibitions, plays, and other arts events; the second, from 10 to 12 September, will be more literary/academic.
The festival will be inaugurated by lectures by Taras Prochaśka, Adam Michnik, David Grossman, and Victor Yerofeyev, and an evening concert by the Bester Quartet. Other appearances at the festival will include the biggest stars of the Ukrainian ethno-folk music scene, Kiev’s DahaBraha, Yuri Andrukhovych with Karbido, and a Polish rock band called Bruno Schulz.
From 10 to 12 September there will be an international literature session, whose program is located here.
The festival will also host the first presentations of new translations of The Cinnamon Shops and Sanatorium under the Sign of the Hourglass by Yuri Andrukhovych. All are welcome!
