14 October in Wrocław marks the beginning of the 3rd Bruno Schulz Festival.
The organizers invite one and all to the panel discussions featuring: David Grossman, Zeruya Shalev, Yuri Andrukhovicz, Dariusz Kosiński, Marcin Król, Joanna Siedlecka, Mariusz Szczygieł, Małgorzata Szejnert, Joanna Tokarska-Bakir, and authors nominated for the Angelus Central European Literary Award (Yelena Chizhova, Olexander Irvanech, Wiesław Myśliwski, Pavol Rankov, Martin Šmaus, and Jáchym Topol), as well as many others.
The program will also include a concert by Andruchowycz & Karbido Atlas Estremo, a concert by Chain Smokers & Andrzej Sosnowski, a literary city game called The Cat of Nadodrze, and the Polish premiere of Joana Helander and Bo Persson’s film Watching the Moon at Night.
Bruno Schulz. Festival 2014 will be accompanied by two academic sessions: The Vincenz Colloquium (an academic session and translators’ workshops; the Ossoliński National Institute) and Centers – Peripheries in Polish 20th and 21st Century Literature (Wrocław University).
The festival ends on 19 October.
